Dream IV ❄ video/open action

[Bran has wheeled himself into the square. Summer is beside him, under command to sit and stay, and is doing so obediently.

In one hand Bran holds his device, a little unsteady, while the other clutches tightly at the handrim of his wheelchair.]

Everyone is saying that today, things are different... that there are people here from other worlds. From--

[He falters, readjusts himself, takes a deep breath-- and then goes on.]

If there is anyone here from Winterfell, or from Westeros at all, I'd like to see you, please.

[ooc: You heard the boy! GoT/ASOIAF people, come and find him. This is SO VERY OPEN to everyone else, too, though! Let the games begin!]

Of course for true. Do you think I'm lying? I killed a stable boy and some soldiers. I killed Chiswyk and Weese, too. I killed them with a whisper. And I slit a guard's throat.

If you'd like, I could rip Theon's throat out for you. Or I could crush his stupid head with a rock.

[She really means it-- he can tell for sure now. It's been a long time since he's seen Arya, and she's changed a lot. But at the same time, she really hasn't at all. He definitely looks impressed.]

You can go ahead. He's a liar and a traitor. [He pauses.] How can you kill by whispering?

[action]

[identity profile] needleofmyown.livejournal.com 2011-10-01 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I will. I'll kill him dead, you'll see. He shouldn't have taken Winterfell. It's ours.

[Arya puffs herself up, proud.] I was owed a life. Three lives. So I whispered and he took them. I probably shouldn't tell you, but you're Bran, so I will.

Of course you can tell me. I'm not some stupid child who can't know things.

[He sits up straight. This is like the scary stories he's always loved, and he wants to hear more.]

What were you owed lives for?

You are. Nearly. You're younger than I am.

[She doesn't stop talking, though. She likes Bran listening to her like this. It makes her feel interesting. Like a hero from one of Old Nan's tales. Though not a lady like in the ones Sansa loved so much.]

There was a fire. We were attacked, see. He was locked up, because he's criminal. A dangerous one. I let him free, him and two others. He said the only way to repay life was with death, so I just had to tell him names and after that they'd end up dead.

I'm nearly ten.

[But Bran forgets to sulk as soon as Arya goes on with her story. He imagines Arya rescuing a dangerous criminal from a fire, and he can scarcely believe it.]

So you said the names, and they died, just like that?

[action]

[identity profile] needleofmyown.livejournal.com 2011-10-02 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
Not just like that, stupid. I had to wait. Chiswyk come off a wall and Weese got killed by his own dog. I did it, though. I said their names.

[Bran looks indignant at being called stupid, but the story is still to exciting for him to argue.]

Were they very bad men? [Because they'd have to be for his sister to kill them, but he wants to know what they did?] As bad as Theon, or worse?

[action]

[identity profile] needleofmyown.livejournal.com 2011-10-02 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Not as bad as Theon. I think. Chiswyk might've been. He laughed about Ser Gregor raping. And he hit me. He helped the Tickler when he tortured, too. Weese used to hit me.

[Bran's eyes narrow. He doesn't like the thought of someone hitting his sister.]

It's good they're dead, then.

[Arya draws herself up.]

I could've killed them myself if I wanted to.

[identity profile] branstark.livejournal.com 2011-10-02 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[Bran is through doubting her, but he is still curious.]

How?

[action]

[identity profile] needleofmyown.livejournal.com 2011-10-02 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[Arya draws her stolen longsword, pretending like it isn't too heavy. So maybe she didn't have it until long after they were dead, but Bran doesn't need to know. She's enjoying impressing him far too much to stop now.]

With this. I know how to use it, see. Syrio gave me lessons.

[action]

[identity profile] branstark.livejournal.com 2011-10-02 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[He marvels at the sword, wondering where she got such a thing.]

Syrio?

[identity profile] needleofmyown.livejournal.com 2011-10-03 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[Arya's pleased at his expression, even if it isn't Needle. She wishes it was Needle, so she could brag about how Jon got it made for her. Or maybe she'd still keep it secret, even if she let him look at it. Bran isn't Sansa or their father, but Needle was between her and Jon. She hasn't seen Jon in a long time, but she still thinks it might count as betraying him.]

My dancing instructor. Father got him so he could teach me how to use a sword.

[Arya thinks for a moment, chewing her lip, then she holds out the sword to him.] Here. You can hold it if you like.

[action]

[identity profile] branstark.livejournal.com 2011-10-03 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[Bran's lips part in a silent gasp, and he cautiously reaches his hands out for it, taking hold like it's a much more delicate thing than it really is. His eyes run up and down the blade, taking it in.]

You got to take sword lessons?

[action]

[identity profile] needleofmyown.livejournal.com 2011-10-03 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. I wish I'd have them sooner. I practice lots, but I bet I'd be even better if I'd had them always.
