Dream I ❄ video/action

[The video feed opens on a young boy sitting with his back to the carousel, staring curiously down at the device. His bright eyes blink, and he reaches up a hand to brush at the fringe of his auburn hair, grown long and a bit unruly. Strong, dark brows furrow, and his freckled nose wrinkles. He shakes his head and sets the device aside, offering a view of his outstretched legs.]

Meera? [A pause.] Jojen?

[He sighs.]

Summer? Summer, to me.

[Snuffling is heard, and the sound of paws scrabbling on pavement. And then a paw falls on the device, and the recording clicks off.]

[ooc: So uh, this child who looks like he can't be more than ten kind of can't, uhmm, walk. So someone might want to help him out.]

No trouble at all. [Well that answers Reid's question about whether Bran is from his time period or not. He can't place what time period or where though. He does go into the kitchen and return shortly with a bottle of water, which he unscrews the top on and hands over to Bran.]

I'm Spencer Reid. Are you hungry? [He's attempting to restrain himself from asking too many questions. Enjoy it while it lasts because it won't for long.] I can make something or order something.

Oh. [He's still processing this. Usually, when odd things like this happen, it's at least a dream. But if it isn't... well then.] I understand.

[He takes the water bottle and stares at it in wonder for a moment. It's just as odd as everything else here. But water is water, and this man seems nice, so he'll trust it. He takes a long drink.]

Oh! It's a communications device, of sorts. It lets you talk into one end, and people can hear you through the other. I take it they don't have them where you're from?

[Reid shakes his head at Bran.] It's not a burden. I'll make us both sandwiches. [He starts to ask if Bran likes peanut butter and jelly but remembers that he probably won't know what they are.] I'll be back in just a few minutes.

All right. I'll wait here. [It's not like he could get very far even if he meant to. The word 'sandwiches' confuses him a little, too, so he waits curiously to see what that might entail.]

[Sort of why Reid is waiting on him. He disappears for a few minutes and comes back with two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches along with glasses of milk. He hands one plate over to Bran and sets the milk on a nearby end table.]
