[The video feed opens on a young boy sitting with his back to the carousel, staring curiously down at the device. His bright eyes blink, and he reaches up a hand to brush at the fringe of his auburn hair, grown long and a bit unruly. Strong, dark brows furrow, and his freckled nose wrinkles. He shakes his head and sets the device aside, offering a view of his outstretched legs.]

Meera? [A pause.] Jojen?

[He sighs.]

Summer? Summer, to me.

[Snuffling is heard, and the sound of paws scrabbling on pavement. And then a paw falls on the device, and the recording clicks off.]

[ooc: So uh, this child who looks like he can't be more than ten kind of can't, uhmm, walk. So someone might want to help him out.]

Okay. Has anybody tried to explain where you are to you? Has anybody come to help you and show you around?

The older boys who have got the same face are helping me. I still don't really understand where I am, though. Or why.

The same face...Oh! You mean the twins! Fred and George, right? That's gotta be them...

Okay, lemme try to explain the where, though honestly, the why is a mystery to all of this. This is the City...it's sort of a world between worlds. People come and go at random, and they can't leave on their own will...

Oh. [He's still processing this. Usually, when odd things like this happen, it's at least a dream. But if it isn't... well then.] I understand.

[Hanna can tell he's a bit scared, and that's okay.]

Oh. Good. [And now he realises he hasn't introduced himself. He doesn't want to be rude.]

I-I'm Bran. [He's decided to dispense with the 'Son of Eddard, etc. etc.' bit now; no one else seems to say as much, here.]

Pleased to meet you, as well. [And, since he's been wondering about this bit, he'll be so bold as to ask--] How are you talking to me now?

Oh! It's a communications device, of sorts. It lets you talk into one end, and people can hear you through the other. I take it they don't have them where you're from?

No. [That sounds impossible, unless...] Is it magic?

It's technology, which I guess you could say is a sort of magic...

It'd be easier to show you, actually.

[He'll dissect his device for Bran, and then put it back together! Can't have the kid stuck here without understanding how this crap works.]

O-okay.

Relax, it's nothing bad, I promise. Where are you right now?

[You'll like technology, Bran! It'll fix your legs for the duration of your stay in the City!]

It's called the Youth Centre, they said. Do you know it?

I do! Would it be okay if I came down to meet you?

Yes, I'd like that.

[Hanna shows up at the center after a few minutes.]

[When Hanna arrives, Bran is enjoying his fist-ever PB&J sandwich, and enjoying it greatly. He glances up every now and then to keep a lookout for the owner of the voice he's been speaking to.]

[Voice] THEY HAVE DOCTORS AND ROBOTIC IMPLANTS HERE.

[Voice] Me too. We should get him crutches to start.
